TANI Social Work Services

What is Social Work?

Social work is a practice-based profession that aims to promote social change, empowerment, liberation, social cohesion, and the overall wellbeing of people. In New Zealand social workers are expected to undertake professional training to be registered with the SWRB (Social Work Registration Board).

What our Social Workers at TANI do?

At TANI our Social workers use strength-based approach with clients. They address clients’ personal life challenges and focus on their strengths and empower them to overcome hurdles and provide practical support. We provide social, mental, physical, and financial assistance and advice. We conduct home visits to get a better understanding of your environment in social, economic, education, historical settings and see what support there is available to assist you. After understanding your environment better, we refer you to the best suitable services. We also attempt our best to engage communities with our services as we feel it is important for our community to be educated and aware to have decision-making skills and capabilities in their own hands. Our Social workers help improve clients’ overall wellbeing and quality of life in New Zealand. TANI Social Workers do not work in isolation, we work with various organisations to find the most suitable services to assist clients through their problems.
